So the tv fell on me today. Lately I've been finding alot of millipedes in our basement even though its completely finished. So this time I was lying on the ground watching tv and it ran right by me under the tv stand. I grabbed toilet paper and went to move the tv stand, instead of rolling, it got caught in its own groove in the carpet. The next thing I know the entire tv and tv stand tips over and falls flat on me and the ground. I can't believe I didn't die or break something it was crazy, the tv was still on, and its very big, and fell from pretty high. The most disturbing thing is, no one else even came to investigate the noise. So the only evidence that it ever happened is the fact that the remote doesn't work anymore, since the tv landed right on it. Somehow the remote is in one solid piece though. Very strange! In other news, I've finally come to grips and started backing up my music collection, so far its taken 2 dvds for the A's and half of the B's. I guess I haven't updated in forever, but suffice to say my trip to Vancouver was completely awesome and I spent a ridiculous amount of money. Oh, and after hours on the phone with bell, my parents internet situation is finally under control (just in case you were wondering how their internet situation was :P) That's All For Now! Sweet! I'm so pysched!!! Only a day and a bit and i'll be on my way to vancouver, and the island!! Everything has been such a crazy blur since I got back, I've been so busy and I haven't even started work yet!!! The phone has been ringing off the hook, and today the craziness has come to an end, all my errands are done. All I have left to do is go to bestbuy to buy a new memory card and pick up my sisters clothes she left at her old co-workers house. Not for the sister in vancouver that works for bestbuy, the other one in ottawa that used to work at bestbuy! Confusing! I know! (my mom is flying to ottawa for 5 days to visit my other sister) In other news, I finished my first book for the summer in record time, and am almost completely done going through my massive folders of unsorted music I had (roughly 20 gb worth!) Which means I can soon start burning and backing up my music once and for all!! I just can't wait to be in vancouver, go clubbing, shopping maybe, I definately have to organize a list of places to go see and make myself an architectural tour, since I haven't been there in a few years. Too much reading has made me go crazy....and now...I have a story to tell: There once was a macro-invertebrate named Diporeia, he lived in a lake but was the only one there. However, he wasn't completely alone, because the lake was filled with many organisms, including fish, the very smelly kind that smell like fish. The Diporeia used to be very depressed, runoff from the farms caused eutrophication forcing his family to leave, and all the other macro-invertebrates, but for some reason he decided to stay on his own. He had no friends and needed to make more, he learned some valuable lessons and realized he shouldn't discriminate. Once he realized how easy it was to make friends he began making friends with anything and everything from plants, parasites, phytoplankton and very stinky, disease filled fish. He didn't stop there though, once he had some friends, Diporeia just kept going becoming friends with everything in the lake, some organisms didn't like this one bit. Until one day he met zebra mussel. Zebra mussel came from Europe on the boat and was filled with toxins and diseases. Diporeia didn't know this though, until it was too late. Diporeia tried to save himself by cutting off all ties with zebra mussel, forming other symbiotic relationships with the more native organisms. They didn't have any more energy for him so he became even more sick. And thus, you have the REAL reason for the dissappearance of Diporeia in Lake Ontario. Watch Out Lake Erie!! I go into every Olympics with hope that this time around, we won't fail like horrible failures. Then I watch in horror as our figure skaters fall and flop around on the ice like fish....UGH!!!!...UGH I TELL YOU!! COME ON.....Shouldn't we be one of the top countries in the world? Doesn't anyone else think we embarrass ourselves with such a low metal count? I also thought that we had some of the best snowboarders in the world.....another disappointment. I guess its not too late, theres hockey, curling and speed skating to make up for it, but I don't think that will be enough. Yet I can't stop watching, its like self inflicted torture I swear. Hmm....and I wonder why my comments from my 2nd last post before this one is at the top of the screen no matter what. Does anyone else see this or is it just my crazy computer being crazy? I haven't updated in a long time, I also haven't had internet and phone in a long time, well I still don't really. So I moved into my new place, its pretty nice, I like it, my room kicks ass. Zoey and Dan aren't a big fan of our landlord, and the other lady, I didn't really care until I woke up the other morning wanting to go to the washroom to find the toilet was clogged. I spent forever trying to fix it to no avail with all types of contraptions. So, covered in toilet water I wanted to take a shower, but there was no hot water. Now usually, you turn it to the cold side to get hot water, but nothign, so I tried letting the water run for 10 minutes on each side, then tried taps in the house...nothing. I sucked it up and washed my hair in ice cold water..that was horrible, then headed to spuc, then the bus to come back home. I didn't go nuts on groceries cause I was coming back home for my surgery today. My surgery is finally over...I can't really tell if my nose is any better, cause I can't touch it and its really painful and will be leaking blood inside and out for 1 or 2 days...sounds fun?..thats just the start...but I have tylenol 3 to keep me company. Ugh....I just spent a grueling 3 hours going over my 12000 songs, picking out ones to make cds with. I won't have my computer from tomorrow till wednesday, or my stereo, so my discman with some cds will have to do till then. So basically, I'll also be without phone or internet from tomorrow to who knows when. The last week has been really awesome, and incredibly crappy at the same time. Everyones been taking me out for dinner and giving me money for my birthday which I really like...lol (They all feel guilty they won't see me on my birthday) My new favourite band for the day is arcade fire.....I got yelled at for playing it too loud..ahahahhaha.....In one weeek I'll be in my new home...I'm so excited...I think I have my room colour picked out...fudge truffel or something like that....and in 2 weeks I'll have my nose fixed, my surgery is on the 13th, so i'll be going back to st. kitts for the first day of school...it'll be totally worth it though... On the down side, my dad can't move me up wednesday (for the necessary 2nd, final, trip of bringing stuff up and moving me in) cause instead he has to hire yet another lawyer, a family one this time to go against my mom...don't you just love how adults can get along??....So i've been dealing with their bullshit this week, but soon I won't have to, I can pretend they don't exist...that'll work..until something really bad happens...and I know it will.. Sweeeeeeetttt!!!!! I'm off for 2 days....I have a doctors appointment for my nose tomorrow...I think its finally the last one before my surgeries...I hope....I want it all done and over with....and can't wait to be able to breathe through my nose!! Anyways...I'm a good chunk into the Da Vinci Code and it is such an awesome book...I think I appreciate it much more cause I already know so much about art history, Paris, and other cities in Europe....anyone who hasn't read it definately should. Oh...i pretty much finished my website. I still have to do the New York part, but whatever...I decided to put it up anyways..and it took forever to load it on to the server...I now hate servers..EVIL!!!!!..... you can check it out, tell me what you think, its my first project with flash, so i think its pretty good considering I just taught myself flash 2 weeks ago http://www.nicholasjones.netMy mom got pissed off at me tonight....cause she always makes things, and then i'll take it, cut it up, and make rice for it to go in....all i'm eating is rice..with whatever and sriracha sauce...I so wish I could sleep in tomorrow, but I guess having this appointment over with is worth getting up for...I should go to bed now.. |
